Christofer Hagstedt joins panel at ICE Barcelona
Christofer Hagstedt, Business Area Manager at Sustainable Interaction, joins an exciting panel discussion at ICE 2026 in Barcelona: The Death of Player Autonomy: Are Safeguards Becoming Surveillance?
The session explores the fine line between protection and intrusion — examining when customer data truly warrants intervention, and when over-collection or over-interpretation risks doing more harm than good.
We asked Christofer what attendees can expect to take away from the session:
”We’ve probably never had as much data about players as we do today. And that gives us great opportunities to personalise player protection. But does more data mean that we actually make our gambling environments safer? I would say yes, and no.
It really comes down to how we use the data, and to put the data into good use through proactive player communications. It’s about making the right choices. And knowing what not to choose. If we get that right, I believe we have a real opportunity to flip the feeling of being monitored into feeling seen and supported. I’m really looking forward to discussing how we can achieve that with my fellow panelists.”
