Swisslos rolls out tailored age-verification training developed by Sustainable Interaction

Swisslos, the inter-cantonal lottery operator for German- and Italian-speaking Switzerland, has successfully launched a customised Guess the Age training solution, aimed at strengthening age-verification practices across its retail network.

The training solution has been developed in collaboration with Sustainable Interaction and is designed to fit into the daily workflow of sales representatives and optimised for iPad use, enabling on-the-go education of point-of-sale agents.

The solution presents users with six randomly selected faces from a database of over 50, challenging them to determine whether each individual appears to be 18 or older. Immediate, tailored feedback highlights the difficulty of estimating age, reinforcing the core message: always ask for ID if a person appears to be under the age of 25.

The platform is fully white-labeled and branded for Swisslos, and is available in German, French, and Italian to support nationwide rollout. Through an integrated admin interface, Swisslos can track participation and monitor which sales representatives have trained specific retail partners.

Adoption has been rapid, with over 1100 participants completing the training across a similarly large number of retailers, demonstrating strong engagement across Swisslos’ network of more than 4’000 points of sale.

Markus Fischer, Head of Sales & Marketing at Swisslos, commented:

Sustainable Interaction delivered a tailored Guess the Age solution that fits seamlessly into our sales representatives’ daily workflow. The multilingual setup, branded interface, and built-in tracking were exactly what we needed. The collaboration was smooth, professional and very fast from start to finish.
